How to choose, in plain terms

Premium British (Rugby, Regents, Highgate, St Andrew's). Big campuses, boarding options, ฿650k–฿975k at the top years. Buy these for facilities, university placement and the brand.

Established mid-tier (Garden, ISE, TPIS, MIS, Wells). ฿250k–฿650k, genuine accreditation (CIS, WASC, IB), smaller and more personal. The sweet spot for most relocating families.

Budget & bilingual (BPIS, BJP, EFIP, REPS, BEST, Phoenix, Odyssey, ISC). ฿79k–฿250k. Thai-bilingual or specialist routes — strong value, especially for younger children or families integrating long-term.

A practical Pattaya path many Thai-foreign families take: a bilingual primary (e.g. BEST), then an international secondary (e.g. BPIS) — roughly half the cost of a pure international education start to finish.

School questions, answered

Are there one-off fees on top of tuition?

Almost always. Expect application fees (฿200–฿7,500), one-time enrolment/registration (฿30k–฿200k), and sometimes refundable deposits. Some schools bundle meals, insurance and books; others charge them separately. The fee range here is annual tuition — ask admissions for the all-in first-year number.

Do schools offer sibling discounts?

Most do — typically 5% for the second child rising to 10–30% for later children. A few waive enrolment for the third child entirely.

Which areas are the schools in?

Most cluster in Banglamung (Pong, Nongprue, Huai Yai) just east of the city; a premium group sits in Rayong/Ban Chang (20–30 min); and a few American-curriculum options are in Sriracha and Ban Bueng to the north. See our neighbourhoods guide for where to live around each.
